The Romblon State University Community celebrates a historic milestone by being ranked #261 in the 2024 World University Ranking for Innovation (WURI) Global Top 300 Innovative Universities.

This accomplishment marks RSU as the first higher education institution in the MIMAROPA region to earn this prestigious recognition after its first application on the said global ranking system recognized by the Commission on Higher Education.

In the awarding ceremony held virtually during the 4th HLU Conference at Franklin University, Switzerland, last June 8, 2024, RSU was announced to have excelled in three key areas contributing to its high ranking:

Industrial Application- Rank #24, Generative AI Application- Rank #29, and Symbol and Promotion Rank #33 demonstrating RSU’s innovative practices not only in the local but also in the global platform.

The World University Rankings for Innovation (The WURI) assesses higher education institutions’ real contributions to industry and society, highlighting innovative education, research, and society engagement.

The ranking aims to spotlight higher education institutions that excel in these innovative approaches, thereby inspiring advancements across the academic and societal landscape.

Under the visionary leadership of University President Dr. Merian Catajay-Mani and the dedication of its workforce, RSU’s inclusion in the WURI Global Top 300 validates the innovative spirit of its faculty, students, and administration.

This achievement is a testament to the University’s commitment to serve the Romblomanon beyond honor and excellence.
